Vetilea Travaderm Shampoo is a solid shampoo designed to soothe itching in dogs with sensitive or allergic skin.

It contains Hydroxymethoxyiodobenzylglycoamide pelargonate (HMBG), an antagonist of the TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1) receptor, which helps stop the neuronal stimulation of itching and interrupts the itch-scratch cycle. Additionally, it helps maintain the skin’s barrier function and reduce oxidative stress.

It also contains argan oil and silk hydrolyzate, which help soften the skin and keep the coat and skin in good condition.

As a solid shampoo, it is not packaged in a plastic container, helping to reduce plastic consumption.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does Hydroxymethoxyiodobenzyl Glycoamide Pelargonate (HMBG) work?
HMBG acts as an antagonist of the TRPV1 channel, a non-selective cationic channel of neurons, through which pruritogenic signals are transmitted to the brain via various intracellular signaling cascades, triggering the scratching reflex.

In addition, the compound has additional synergistic activities that help maintain the skin barrier function and exhibit antioxidant effects.

In in vitro studies using an induced atopic model, it was observed that this compound prevents the reduction of gene expression involved in barrier function, such as CDSN, DSC1, FLG, LOR. Additionally, HMBG reduced oxidative stress induced by H2O2 in human keratinocytes.

Can it be used in combination with other products, such as immunotherapy, oclacitinib, etc.?
Yes, it can be used in combination with pharmacological therapies, diets, and dietary supplements.
